How BPM converts to milliseconds
There are 60,000 milliseconds in a minute, so one beat lasts
60000 ÷ BPM. At 120 BPM a beat is 500 ms; everything else scales from there.
This reference just pre-computes the common tempos so you can grab a number without opening a
calculator.

- How do I convert any BPM to milliseconds?
- One beat = 60,000 ÷ BPM ms. At 120 BPM that is 500 ms per quarter note; at 128 BPM it is 468.75 ms. Other note values scale from the beat.
