UTC to EDT Converter

Convert UTC to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−4). If your date falls outside daylight saving, the tool tells you so and shows EST instead — so you never schedule a meeting an hour off.

Times are interpreted as UTC, regardless of your device's own time zone.

How UTC to EDT is calculated

Eastern Daylight Time is four hours behind Coordinated Universal Time:

EDT = UTC − 4 hours

Worked example. A stand-up call scheduled for 14:00 UTC on 15 July 2026:

14:00 − 4h = 10:00 EDT

Daylight saving in the United States runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Outside that window Eastern Time is UTC−5 (EST), and 14:00 UTC becomes 09:00 EST.
